What is permanent makeup?
Permanent makeup is a technique used for many years, in which a pigment is inserted into the dermis of the skin, leaving a mark that mimics applied makeup. You may have also heard the terms semi permanent makeup, micro pigmentation, micro pigment implantation, and so on. It is long lasting but it fades over time, as the pigment is inserted more superficially than in traditional tattoo. Many factors contribute to the fading such as sun exposure, skin type, other skin treatments, skin care, lifestyle, hormones and many other factors.
What is microblading?
Microblading is a permanent cosmetics technique where pigment is inserted with hairline strokes that mimic natural eyebrow hairs, therefore restoring the look of natural eyebrows. Some other names used for this technique are feather touch, eyebrow feathering, eyebrow embroidery. It is a great technique for those who have spare eyebrows, or even non existent eyebrows, over plucked eyebrows, or eyebrows that just need a better, well groomed looking shape without the fuss of having to apply makeup every day. Microblading is a two step process – the initial session and a touchup in 4-8 weeks.
Does it hurt?
Microblading doesn’t hurt like a traditional tattoo. We use high quality topical numbing cream, and most people only feel pressure, many have fallen asleep during the procedure. But everyone’s sensitivity to pain is different. That is why we keep reapplying topical numbing cream throughout the procedure to make you most comfortable.
How do I choose the shape?
Everybody’s face is different and unique. That is why I don’t use stencils or a one-size-fits all technique. I custom map everyone individually to fit your individual facial features and bone structure. After I draw the framework of your eyebrows, we both determine what works best based on your facial features and preferences. I don’t start microblading until you approve of the shape.
How do I make an appointment?
We are by appointment only. In order to book an appointment, just click on the "book now" button and it will lead you through the booking process. Consultation is a part of the microblading appointment, so you can go and book microblading directly, but if you want a separate consultation appointment first, then you can just book consultation first.
